Tuesday April 26th is a big day for 30 Southern Tier area graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated excellence in math and science. That's the day that SUNY Broome President Kevin E. Drumm will present the Frank G. Paul Medal of Excellence to some deserving students.

Medals will be handed out at 3:30pm in the Hoyt Conference Center in Decker Health Sciences Building Room 201.

Those being recognized and honored include the following students from all over the Southern Tier:

Binghamton: Dali O’Geen, Michael Norton

Chenango Forks: Kristina Collyer, Zachary McFadden

Chenango Valley: Melissa Marean, Owen Klepfer

Deposit: Colby Hall, Molly Lobdell

Greene: Emily Montelione, Luke Day

Harpursville: Peyton Woloszyn, Benjamin Copeland

Johnson City: Morgan Machado, Robert Beblavy

Maine-Endwell: Jillian Montgomery, Adam Kunz

Owego Free Academy: Bridget Watkins, Colin Pritchard

Seton Catholic Central: Karima Rai, Clayton Ligeikis

Susquehanna Valley: Christina Waite, Joseph Osgood

Union-Endicott: Claire Van Putten, Leonard Yarrington

According to the SUNY Broome Press release, "the award includes a special medallion and eligibility for one of two $1,000 Francis and Lillian Paul Scholarships for SUNY Broome’s Engineering Science program.  Students receiving this scholarship also will be eligible for a transfer scholarship of $1,000 to complete their bachelor’s degree if criteria are met."
