I can't even put into words the joy that I felt the day that I made my final student loan payment. It was literally one of the best days of my life. My husband just finished paying off his student loans earlier this year and I felt that same level of joy for him as I'd felt for myself.

Student loans were pretty much the bain of my existence for almost 15 years. I literally could feel the tears welling up inside whenever I'd start to write out a check for my monthly payment and my stomach would churn. No fun for me that month. Nope, all my hard earned money that I was supposed to be enjoying as an adult was non-existent thanks to student loans.

Student Loan Report conducted a definitely-not-serious online survey of 500 college graduates who owe big time on loans and asked what they'd do to avoid having to make a payment. The answers are pretty funny.

83% of people would stop watching 'Game of Thrones' if it meant putting a stop on payments. 58% of borrowers would wear Crocs for the next 10 years and 57% of borrowers would have a one-hour conversation with a cable company customer service representative every day for the next 5 years in order to wipe out their debt completely.

The last one made me chuckle the most. I know it's hard to believe, but not all cable company customer service reps are the devil. I know a lot of people who work for the cable company and they're pretty chill. Then again, I might be a little biased because my husband is one of them.
