Country music history has always been rich in family tradition and songs about mothers/mamas and fathers/daddys, have always been a popular subject.

With this being Father's Day, I thought it would be a good idea to search some of the more popular dad-themed songs from today and the past.

I included 3 songs that seem to be popular with Hawk listeners that say a lot about the man known as Dad.  Rodney Atkins, Watching You, explores a little boy who looks up to his Dad and repeats everything, sometimes not the best idea.

I searched for Conway Twitty's ultimate Dad song but remembered that Conway was not a fan of music videos but did locate an excellent version of That's My Job, by Glen Templeton, that sounds hauntingly like the original classic.

And Daddy's Hands has always been a favorite of Hawk listeners and this version includes the amazing Dolly Parton.

So to my Dad and Dads everywhere, enjoy and Happy Father's Day!
