Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town were the early country winners at the 2016 Grammy Awards. Both picked up two trophies before the first hour of the CBS broadcast had finished.

Little Big Town won for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and their song “Girl Crush” earned its songwriters a Grammy in the Best Country Song category. Stapleton won Best Country Solo Performance for the song “Traveller” before the show began, and then America watched as he scooped up Best Country Album over Sam Hunt, Little Big Town and more.

The first 2016 Grammy Awards winner was announced just before 3PM CT on Monday, and what followed was a long line of country, bluegrass and Americana stars bouncing to the stage to accept statuettes. Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton and Sam Hunt were among the most-nominated country artists at this year's biggest night in music. All gave rousing performances as well.
