2016 Best and Worst Valentine’s Cities
According to Wallethub, "the average lovebird will spend $146.84 and nearly $20 billion collectively to show just how fat our hearts are." Researchers analyzed the 100 most populated cities in the US for Valentine's Day using four categories: Valentine's Day budget, activities, gift accessibility and weather also came in to play.
San Francisco is the best city for Valentine's Day, followed by Scottsdale, Arizona; Honolulu, Orlando, and Seattle. Cities not feeling the love on Valentine's Day include: Detroit, Cleveland, San Bernardino, Newark and Hialeah, Florida.
It's interesting to note that New York placed #63, Nashville was in at #70, Buffalo at #76 and Philly at #95. Binghamton did not make the list because the list only included major cities.
