The 12 days of Christmas begin on Thursday December 25th and end on Monday January 5th and if you were thinking of buying all the items on the "12 Days of Christmas" list, there's some good news.

The prices of most of the items in the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas" saw little to no increase in 2014.  Only the price of six geese-a-laying really jumped, from $210 last year to $360 this year.

But if you would purchase everything, each time the item is mentioned in the song, you’d be shelling out $116,273 – which is just a relatively small 1.4 percent increase from a year ago.

So thanks to low levels of inflation, you might really be able to stretch your holiday gift-giving dollars this year. How’s that for a Merry Christmas?
