At the stroke of midnight on January 1st, did you do what millions of others around the world did and resolve to lose weight? Maybe this will help you keep it that resolution unlike other years when you got frustrated and just gave up.

Thanks to Askmen, we've got 10 ways to eat better in 2015 and I think you might be surprised how easy these suggestions are:

10. Replace fat-free foods with the regular version: Good fat doesn’t make you fat. And fat-free versions of food are typically packed with trans fats and artificial sweeteners.

9. Swap ice cream for Greek yogurt.

8. Stay away from vegetable oils. Use coconut oil, olive oil, butter, and even lard 9yes, lard!) instead.

7. Replace processed meats with real meats. This means you might want to lay off the deli meats for a bit. If you just HAVE to have that sandwich, consider cooking your own meat and then slicing it.

6. Stop eating cereal and bread for breakfast. Have oatmeal instead. I know- I'm not an oatmeal fan either, but it's so much healthier and thankfully, there are tons of new flavors.

5. Shape Up. If you need help getting in gear, Xbox One’s new game Shape Up offers an online service that lets you create your own personalized fitness and meal plans.

4. Kick the candy habit. Get your sweet fix from dark chocolate or dried fruit instead.

3. Stop eating things in packages. Reach for food that can actually go bad.

2. Instead of drinking fruit juice, eat fruit instead. Fruit juices are full of sugar, something I recently learned when I sat down with a dietician at Lourdes. I thought it was a good thing to drink fruit juice with breakfast. I was so wrong!

1. Replace margarine with butter.
