Have a poem and want the world to hear it? The Belmar, 95 Main Street in Binghamton hosts an open poetry night on Thursday, August 31st, starting at 8:30pm.
Have an urge to sing? Good because the Lost Dog Cafe presents karaoke night on Thursday, August 31st. Sign ups start at 8:30pm. No cover charge, but you must be 21 or older.
Luma Glow Pub Run
Starting at 7pm on Friday, September 1st, you can run down Main Street in Binghamton to kick off another year of the LUMA Projection Arts Festival!. Runners are asked to wear bright colors and to bring glow sticks. The run is about 3 miles and open to everyone. See the starting point, course, stop locations, and end point here.
First Friday Open Mic Night
No matter what your talent, you’re invited to showcase it at Strange Brew’s Open Mic Night. Each performer will be given 15-20 minutes to perform on Friday, September 1st. Open Mic Night starts at 11pm.
Binghamton Rumble Ponies
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies take on the Hartford Yard Goats at 7:05pm on Friday, September 1st. The theme for the night will be “luau.” Learn more.

“Bumping Hips: A History of Lacrosse”
If lacrosse is your thing, you won’t want to miss this comprehensive exhibit on all things lacrosse. Robert Carpenter is the founder of Inside Lacrosse and he’ll be on hand starting at 1pm. This lacrosse event will take place on Saturday, September 2nd at the Vestal Museum, 328 Vestal Parkway East.
First Saturday Art Walk
Enjoy Anthony Brunelli Fine Art’s First Friday exhibit from 11am-12pm on Saturday, September 2nd in a quiet setting. This event is designed for people with memory loss and their caregivers but is open to the public. While free, registration is required. Learn more by calling 607-240-6204.
