Here are the top ten community events happening in and around Binghamton this weekend.

1.  2nd Annual Walk for Diversity
Come together in recognition and celebration of our diverse community, to support a great cause, the Family Enrichment Network Parent’s Fund covers expenses that aren’t provided for by grants or federal funding. The 2nd Annual Walk for Diversity will take place on Saturday, June 3 from 9am-10:30am at Otsiningo Park.

2. Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis
An estimated 1 in 200 people are living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Cures are within sight, but funds are needed to make that possible. Help raise funds by joining the walk this Saturday, June 3rd at Otsiningo Park.

The United Way of Broome County will be celebrating “Day of Action” on June 21st by promoting summer reading! We are gathering donations of NEW books for children kindergarten – fifth grade from June 1st- June 21st. Book donations can be dropped off at any of the following participating locations: George F, Johnson Library in Endicott, Vestal Library in Vestal, Jack Sherman Toyota in Binghamton, United Way of Broome County in Vestal or at the Children's Play Area inside the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City.

4. Stand for Children
Stand for Children, sponsored by the Children and Youth Services Council of Broome County and Liberty Partnership will take place at Recreation Park on June 1st from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. This event is free.

5. Family Planning of South Central NY Bake Sale
A bake sale benefiting Family Planning of South Central NY will take place on Friday, June 2nd part of First Friday at Atomic Toms from 4-8pm.

6.  7th Annual Running 4 A Reason
The running 4 A Reason 5k Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 9am, starting at the Greene Ball Flats. Proceeds to benefit the medical and living expenses of the recipient, who this year is Karen VanVoorhis, who is battling stage 3 ovarian cancer.

Stop by Barnes & Noble at the Town Square Mall between 10am and 9pm on Saturday, June 3rd. Every purchase made that day, by customers supporting the Endwell League of Community Action, will help raise funds for many community organizations.

8. 32nd Save the Habitat Save the Hunt Banquet
The Wilson F. Moore Chapter- NWTF hosts the 32nd Save the Habitat, Save the Hunt banquet on Saturday, June 3rd at the VFW on Route 706 just east of Montrose. Doors open at 5pm. Tickets must be bought in advance at Montrose Sporting Goods or at Andre & Son

9. Relay for Life Western Broome
Relay for Life Western Broome happens from 11am-11pm at Sammon Field in Vestal on Saturday, June 3rd and it's not too late to join a team!

10. Lindsay Wallace Breast Cancer Benefit
On Sunday, June 4th join us at the Touch of Texas from 2pm-5pm. There will be a spaghetti dinner, desserts, cash bar, a DJ and many people showing their support for Lindsay Wallace, a local woman who's fighting breast cancer.
